From her earliest career days as a consultant with Ernst & Young, Tamara has been recognized for her natural instinct to build relationships among creative partners.

Following her time at Ernst & Young, Tamara shifted her focus from large healthcare clients, such as Partner’s Healthcare and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, to work with a family-owned construction firm. This change in scale allowed her to witness the impact small businesses have on the health of the local economy and community.

With a knack for asking thought-provoking questions that encourage collaborators to think deeply about their goals and opportunities, Tamara’s authentic curiosity and team focus have been appreciated on projects both large and small.

In 2009, Tamara returned to consulting when she founded Cadence Analytics, a firm focused on healthcare and strategic advisory.  By 2013, she had branched out to forge relationships in the creative design sphere and began working on projects with Bridge Innovate.  Tamara continues to serve as a collaboration partner with Bridge and has experience working on accelerated design projects that draw heavily from design thinking and agile methods. Through her work with Bridge Innovate and Thrive Regional Partnership, Tamara discovered a passion for helping rural communities develop strategies around their arts and cultural assets.

In 2019, Tamara changed her company name from Cadence Analytics to Cadence Creative to more fully represent the work in which she is now engaged.  This New York State Women Owned Business Enterprise is the culmination of her years of combined experience in strategic planning and creative collaboration.

Tamara is a graduate of Clarkson University and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Over the past decade, she has completed programs to enhance her natural skills in facilitation and design. Her qualifications include the National Charrette Institute (NCI) Systems Training Certificate, certification as an ExperiencePoint Design Thinking Facilitator/ Educator, and certification as an Agile Scrum Master. Tamara also holds a certificate in Creative Placemaking from the National Consortium for Creative Placemaking and the New Hampshire Institute of Art. Common threads between these programs are an emphasis on creativity, facilitation of group processes, co-design, bold vision, and small-scale experimentation. Above all, each of these certifications highlight the importance of continuous learning, collaboration and teamwork.

Tamara’s facilitation methods ensure project sustainability by encouraging groups to take ownership of their work and by building community among participants, who will benefit from their time together long after an engagement is complete.
